The upside of having no internet access at home for a while is that I actually managed to get a fair chunk of things done.

Well, until the flooding. Then I had to stop for a bit. But everything’s back up and running again.

So I guess someone took some short videos of our Minneapolis performance.

That's pretty dope.

I wonder, though, were our kick drums really that distorted FOH? Time to go back and remaster the backing tracks...

(oh, and of course it's a clip where nobody in the band is doing anything but me, so that bit is kind of hilarious)

During rehearsal last night, we were playing "Return" and suddenly, there in the bridge that had always perlplexed me as to "what should we do there", I heard this awesome fretless bass part. It was simple, it harmonized perfectly, and it was smoooooth.

Chuck was just ON.

I was so surprised I forgot to sing the next verse.

Yay!

I finally upgraded.

And I snagged an external hard drive so I can use Time Machine. Finally, BACKUPS! The studio had been sorta-backed-up on my old G4, which I was using as a remote server. Now...now I can back it up onto a drive. Hourly! Finally!
